SAN LEANDRO, California (AP) — a robber who shot Black Friday shoppers who refused to give up the purchase outside Walmart, leaving the victim was hospitalized in critical but s condition after one of the few incidents in California which marred the annual ritual of bargain hunting, authorities said.
Police in San Leandro, about 15 miles east of San Francisco, said the victim and his family walked to their car about 1: 45 am when they are confronted by a group of people who insist on spending their goods. When families refuse, the battle was fought, and one of the robbers pulled a gun and shoot people, said Sergeant Mike Torn.
“The look of these people, out of their cars and tried to rob them but to no avail,” said Torn.
At Walmart the other in the suburbs of Los Angeles, rich woman who seeks to gain the upper hand to buy cheap electronics pulled out pepper spray on a crowd of shoppers, resulting injuries 20 people, police said.
The attack happened about 10: 20 pm Thursday after the doors opened for sale at Walmart in the Porter Ranch in the San Fernando Valley.
